'Age My Way' Information Day for seniors set for Saturday

Northwest Kansas Area Agency on Aging will be hosting Information Day for older Kansans and caregivers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hays Senior Center, 2450 E. Eighth St.

This year’s theme is “Age My Way."

The day will include speakers, hands-on activities, vendor booths, door prizes and lots of giveaways. Healthy snacks and drinks will be provided to all participants.

Scheduled presentations include:

9 a.m.— Senior Companions/Foster Grandparents Program
9:30 a.m. — Professional Fire Equipment – fire safety
10 a.m. — Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services - Medicare
11 a.m. — Hays Recreation Commission – exercise activity
noon — Kansas Legal Services – scams and fraud
1 p.m. — High Plains Mental Health Center – "Aging Well: Nurturing Your Mental Health Later in Life"

Many other agencies and organizations will be available to visit with you about their services.
