Former Hays City Manager Hannes Zacharias presents this Humanities Kansas program on Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Hays Public Library, 1205 Main.&nbsp;

Zacharias embarked on his second solo kayak trip down the Arkansas River following a drop of water 2,060 miles from the Continental Divide in Colorado, on to the Mississippi, and concluding at Venice, LA at the Gulf of Mexico.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Zacharias served as Hays city manager for nine years beginning in 1992.&nbsp;&nbsp;
